Yarn

What is hand-dyed yarn?
Hand-dyed yarn, as the name suggests, is yarn that has been treated with dyes by hand – usually in small batches.

Is the color I see on my screen accurate to what I will receive?
Every effort is taken to produce photos with color accuracy. However, due to monitor differences, actual colors may vary from what is shown.

If I order multiple skeins, will they match?
While I try to maintain consistency with all my yarns, please remember that with hand-dyed yarns, color may vary slightly from one to the next and will never be identical.

What does “alternating skeins” mean and is it necessary?
Alternating skeins means working from two balls of yarn at once, knitting two rows from one ball and then two from the other, back and forth as if you were knitting stripes. This blends the two skeins together, so that the difference between the two isn’t so noticeable.

How do I wash my project made with Red Door Fibers yarn?
I recommend washing in cool water and laying flat to dry.

When will my order ship?
Orders are shipped within one week from the date the order is received unless otherwise noted.

Can I pick up my order?
Yes. Once your order is ready, you'll receive a notification via email or SMS text. Please call or text the attached phone number to schedule a pickup.

What is your return policy?
You may return any in-stock items within 14 days of receiving them. All items returned must be in their original packaging and undamaged. Wound yarns are not eligible for return. Refunds are processed once returned items are received. Unless the error was ours or the product was damaged in transit, the customer is responsible for return shipping expenses. Please send an email to begin the return process.

Can I cancel my order?
Orders will need to be canceled within 48 hours to be eligible for a full refund.

What if I need to add to my order?
You will need to order what you need on a separate transaction.

I don’t remember what I ordered before. Can you help?

How can I shop in person?
By appointment only. Please send an email to inquire and schedule an appointment.

Do you offer custom orders?
Not at this time.

Can I purchase yarn to match a previous dye lot?
No. Yarn is dyed to order and while I try my best to keep dye lots similar, they will have variations due to the handmade nature of my work. Please be sure to order enough skeins for your projects as future batches may not be an exact match.
